The Bafang Shi Piao (Bafang: eight-sided; Shi Piao: stone dipper) is a modern variation combining the classic Shi Piao form with the geometric aesthetics of an eight-sided vessel.

It retains the basic structure of a traditional Shi Piao, including the narrower upper body, broader lower body, low center of gravity, tripod-style support, short straight spout, and bridge-shaped knob.

The main difference is that the originally rounded body is replaced by eight geometric facets.

This piece is made from natural Yixing clay with a standard wall thickness and is suitable for teas known for a rich, full-bodied liquor.
