The Qiu Shui (“Autumn Water”) form dates back to the Qing dynasty and became especially popular during the Jiaqing and Daoguang periods. Together with Shuiping and Si Ting forms, it is regarded as one of the classic small Zhuni teapot forms of the Qing dynasty.

Compared with a Shuiping teapot, Qiu Shui is distinguished by its slightly curved spout and taller, more upright silhouette. The body is often oval or pear-shaped, with a rounded belly and smooth, flowing lines.

This is a classic small teapot form well suited to Gongfu tea brewing.
